In 2014, the Colorado Cross-Disability Coalition filed suit against RTD on the grounds that its light rail vehicles were not accessible to riders who use wheelchairs. CREEC joined the case in early 2016 to assist with settlement negotiations. The case settled in late 2016, and the Court granted final approval of the class action settlement on July 11, 2017.
