This lawsuit, filed in January, 2012, challenged the failure of the City and County of Denver to provide sign language interpreters and other accommodations to a deaf detainee of the Denver Sheriff Department. CREEC co-counseled with Carrie Ann Lucas of the Center for Rights of Parents with Disabilities. The case settled in May, 2013, based on an offer of judgment; we are currently litigating the question of attorneys’ fees. (These documents are linked as filed.
