Cy Pres Funds

SUPPORT CREEC AS A CY PRES FUNDS RECIPIENT

Civil Rights Education and Enforcement Center (CREEC) is a strong contender for cy pres awards, especially in cases where a court finds harm to have been inflicted upon disabled people.

In designating a cy pres award to CREEC, you will help further intersectional disability justice. Since our founding in 2013, CREEC has helped secure the rights of 400,000+ individuals

CREEC has focused its work on advocacy that impacts disabled people experiencing discrimination at the intersection of other systems of harm including immigration, incarceration and policing, accessibility, and disaster preparedness. Additionally, CREEC’s Legal Advocacy and Technical Assistance (LATA) work provides self-advocacy training and support, legal and non-legal advice, materials review, technical assistance to other lawyers, legal/non-legal referrals, filing access requests and administrative complaints on behalf of disabled persons seeking government provided services, and those in detention or carceral institutions.

Cy pres funds will be used to further that work which centers the concerns and goals of people with disabilities who are confronting barriers to access to programs and services and resisting oppressive legal systems in the United States. Please consider keeping CREEC in mind as a cy pres funds recipient.
